Hershey Foods, the world's third largest player in the candy business (behind #1
Mars and #2 Nestlé), made such well-known chocolate and candy brands as
Hershey's Kisses, Reese's peanut butter cups, Twizzlers licorice, Mounds and
Super Bubble gum. Hershey also made a variety of grocery goods - baking
chocolate, ice cream toppings, chocolate syrup, cocoa mix, and peanut butter.
Its products were sold throughout North America and exported overseas. The
Hershey Trust controlled approximately 77% of Hershey's voting power.
